to Sirens Ithaki Yacht Club and Restaurant. Sirens (or Sirines in Greek)
is located on the Ionian Isle of Ithaca, Greece, in the main port of Vathy.
Sirens specializes in local Ithacan cuisine with a worldwide twist. Proprietor
Marina Fotopoulos has taken local home recipes as well as recipes from her
travels abroad and has combined them into one exquisite and eclectic menu.
All vegetables used in Sirens dishes are locally and organically grown and
hand selected. This ensures the utmost quality and freshness in each and
every bite!
In addition to being one of the finest restaurants in the Ionian (check
out the press), Sirens boasts an extensive collection of Nautical Memorabilia.
A visit inside reveals many nautical artifacts as well as over 100 pictures
and paintings of boats, ships and sailors throughout Ithaca's history. There's
even a 90 year old blueprint from a local boat builder, which shows how
to build the classic "Kaiki". |
